The time in the filename denotes the beginning of the data. Files contain weekly means from October 1995 to May 2018. 

The dataset has been obtained using satellite altimetry data from three missions:

e1: ERS1 (weeks 1 - 217)
e2: ERS2 (weeks 218 - 573)
n1: Envisat (weeks 574 - 1020)
c2: CryoSat-2 (weeks 1021 - 1336)

Spatial coverage: 65N-82N with a resolution of 0.25*0.5 degrees (lat: 65:0.25:82 and lon: 0:0.5:360)

The data have been masked using sea ice concentrations downloaded from osisaf.met.no/p/ice.
Data points retrieved over land have been removed from files ending with “ocean” - these files are in the "Masked" folder.

This product is a part of the ESA Sea Level CCI project and was achieved through a collaboration between DTU and TUM. Further changes to the dataset has been made within the ESA CCI Sea Level Budget Closure project.
